Why mediate?
Mediation enables the parties in a dispute to
move beyond blame and discuss needs and interests and how to meet them.
In mediation the parties may:
▪ Discover interests in common;
▪ Generate a variety of options for solving the
problem; ▪ Find flexible solutions of mutual
benefit; and
▪ Reach an agreement that fits their
circumstances.
Once the parties agree, the matter ends. Mediation enables all
parties to win. |
